Have you tried right clicking the GPO on the left pane and choose "save report"? this will save a fully expand html file. Not sure but it may contain the notes you are talking about.
Hi there,
This is my first post on GPAnswers.com so apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum for this question.
Our team is building a Proof-of-Concept Windows 7 build -- and I'm experimenting with local group policies, specifically just the Bitlocker policies for now.
Now that I've got the policies the way I'd like them (complete with explanatory comments re: purpose and usage of the policy), I'd like to output that into a list *WITH* the comments. I can't find any info on Google to do that -- but I'm assuming it's feasible, right?
I know I can export a filtered list in GPEDIT.MSC but that doesn't include comments (or at least I can't see how to do that). I've been experimenting with RSAT/GPMC, but again don't see an option for that. I don't know Powershell, but if the solution is a script then I guess this will have to be the time to learn.
Did I preface all this by saying that I just started doing this about a week ago, and I've got my deadline by end of this week?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
Regards,
Roland Thomas
