Right now I have a domain with (2) W2K3 domain controllers. Can I add a Windows 2008 server as a domain controller just so I can take advantage of the Group Policy built into W2K8?? Or would I have to upgrade all of my domain controllers to W2K8 first?

    Thanks!

We have a domain in production that we are in the process of migrating from 2003->2008. it works fine. Cant raise the functional Domain level to 2008 until you are pure, but we have no (major) issues... We are 180 DCs at 2008, with just under 10 left to get off of 2003.

You don't even need a 2008 DC to take advantage of the new group policies. You just need to setup your Central Store (How to create a Central Store for Group Policy Administrative Templates in Window Vista)

You will also need to install Client Side Extensions for anything older than Vista.
