I tried to access GPMC.MSC on my dell laptop which came w/Vista home premium but when I type it from the start search box, it doesn't find it anywhere, it just opens a search results window but no such reference. Does this mean it's not installed? I thought it came w/vista.

How do I access it. It's pretty frustrating that asking a simple how-to question to Dell costs over $100. eventhough I bought the system with some kind of warranty.

    thx,

    John

The GPMC isn't installed on Vista Home premium. It's a download from RSAT. Google for RSAT.. download it.. install the GPMC from there. If you want the LOCAL GP editor.. use gpedit.msc.

I downloaded it and tried to install it but got message "this update is not for my system." My OS is vista home premium SP 1 34 bit.

    Any other options?

    Regards,

    john
