Is there a latest version of the Windows 2000 resource kit gpo help file called "gp.chm"? This was a great file to help search and locate settings that could be set in a GPO without creating a custom ADM file. If not, are there any other tools that allow east search and retrieval of GPO settings?

    Thanks!

    hi,

That file is not included in the Beta/RC edition anyway, but:

    1. Check this out: Group Policy Settings Reference Windows Server 2008 Beta 3
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2043b94e-66cd-4b91-9e0f-68363245c495&displaylang=en

    2. GPMC version 2 (included with WS2K8) has built-in search functionality (advanced filtering that acts like "find..."). This is really great, but it's only possible within the Administrative Templates part of your GPOs.

There is also a downloadable file for Vista that you can use for reference if you are using it.

Individual Settings level GPO Search can be done via JiJi GPO Search.

    Have a look on it.
