i hope this is the right section of this website. basically we have had to rebuild our server now orginally i setup a GPO with folder redirection so it created a user folder and redirected there my documents, application data, and desktop under the folder say e.g joe.smith.

when i told it to orginally create it i set it up as \\servername\users\profiles\ so it would of put joe.smith in after profiles.

Now because we have already got the folders created i dont need it to create them again but cant work out what i need to put back into the folder redirection so it points back to thats users folder on the server. i had tried redirect all users to the same folder but not sure if i put in \\servername\users\profiles\ or \\servername\users\profiles\%userprofile%\ , i had orginally tried setting it to \\servername\users\profiles\%username% but soon as i applied it and went back into the settings it had changed from redirect everyones folder to the same location to create a new folder and i didnt want to do that. I tried it with a test account but the desktop ended up showing up all the users created folders.

can anyone help
