I need to apply a group policy to the OU which has my domain controller in.
I need to be able to assign permissions so that another group I have set up can login onto the domain controller via remote desktop.

I have found the correct settings to use, only it won't apply to the domain controller on the OU I have specified.

    Any idea's please......

    Thanks

by won't apply, do you mean it ha no effect or that you can't link the OU to the container?

I can link it to the OU, I'm just trying to work out which one it should be applied to without affecting other OU's

I applied it to the overall domain name/site name but that stop people logging into other boxes :^(

I just need to apply the group policy so that it only affects the domain controller.

    Thanks

So apply it to the domain controllers OU which only has the domain controller in it?

If it still doesn't apply could there be another group policy over riding it and how would I find out which is over riding it?

Thanks for your help again really appreciate it

Yep, apply it to whatever OU contains the machine(s) you want to effect.

once you've made sure it's applied logically via GPMC and ADUC (ie: the policy is linked the the right OU and the machine is in there) make sure you leave it to settle for a while (half hour to a few hours) then run gpresult on the machine to see what GPO's it's receiving. bear in mind you may have to reboot the machine before some settings are applied.
