    Hi all,

    My first post :-)

I am rolling out a GPO which sets a wallpaper and screen saver policy for all users on their workstations XP Pro, and 2000 Workstation.

This is using the User Config Section of the GPO.

I have set the GPO to exclude 2003 Servers by specifying XP Pro under a WMI Script, however because 2000 Server/Workstation does not process WMI in the same way the policy is being enforced when a user logs into a 2000 Server.

Please can someone sugest a method I can use so this GPO does not run on a 2000 Server, but will still run on a 2000 Workstation.

    Many Thanks,

The most obvious way would be to link the policy to an OU (or OUs) where the workstations are, and not to where your servers are.

Keep your servers in a separate OU and don't link policies at domain level if you don't want them on your servers.

That said, you are talking here about a user policy so it needs to apply to users, so you would also need to enable loopback with merge so the machines in scope apply this to all users who log on to them.
