Using RSoP the way you describe you can only get results for users of a machine if the user has already logged on at the machine at least once.
If this is a test machine, maybe no normal user logged on to it?
I am setting up a Windows domain (windows 2003 server R2). It is just 1 domain with 2 AD controllers. I set up a simple system with 2 OUs one for workstation and another for users.
I tried to see the RSoP using the GPMC result wizard and ran into the following problem:
If I try to see the RSoP of a workstation running the GPMC from the first domain controller installed in the domain, I can select the workstation from the list of computers members of the domain, but when the wizard goes to the User Configuration page the user selection section is grayed out, the next buttom is also grayed out and cannot finish the wizard.
However, I have no problems generating the RSoP for the domain administrator in the DC from where I am running the GPMC, or for the domain administrator in the other DC.
Any ideas what I might be doing wrong would be appreciated.
Hector

Hi Adam,
thank you for the response. I have a few test machines and they all have users that have logged on before, so I am pretty sure that is not the problem.
