This is the ideal place to talk about topics in the newsletter and blog entries. Be sure to specify the NEWSLETTER # or Blog Date when you post.

Please only post questions here about the Group Policy ENGINE. IE: Creating, deleting, managing GPOs, GPCs, GPTs, CSEs... and other "engine" related questions.

Post procedural questions here regarding using the GPMC tool. ie: "How can I copy a GPO from one domain to another?" "How can I disable an unused GPO?"

Post here if you have specific questions, tips, etc, about the GP Preferences.

There are 3600 policy settings plus all the GPP items in Windows 7. Maybe someone knows how to do something with them that you need!

Roaming (or other) profiles gettin' ya down? Post here... Be sure to be super-clear if the target machine is XP or Vista in your post.

This is the "IntelliMirror" stuff (now we just call it a Managed Desktop.) This is a lot of what you'll "do" with GP.

If your question is regarding deploying Software Distribution via GPSI or repackaging for MSI delivery -- this is the place. Also, any discussions about App-V with regard to deploying applications using GP.

If you have a cool tool you want to let us know about, or have questions, then post here. Vendors are encouraged to post information about their 3rd party tools here.

If you're using the GPMC scripting interface, or Win7's Powershell interface, then post here!

If you're trying to hand-craft an ADM/ADMX/ADML templates, or trying to convert and need assistance, then post here. Some posts which start out as "is there a setting for..." may get moved here if the answer is to create a custom ADM.

AGPM (previously known as DesktopStandard's GPOVault). This is available from Microsoft's Software Assurance program for $10/seat with the rest of the MDOP pack.

If you have questions about the books' contents (ie: errors, questions about procedures, errata to share) this is the place. If you have "How To" questions based upon something you've learned in the books, please use one of the other categories.
